WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Rep. Burgess Owens (UT-04) co-signed a bicameral and bipartisan letter to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Robert Califf urging the FDA to redefine the proposed definition of “healthy,” which would exclude most cranberry and tart cherry products.
“From Payson to Santaquin and all along the Utah County foothills, Utah leads the nation in tart cherry production,” said Rep. Owens. “Utah’s farmers and agricultural producers work day in and day out to support our communities, and I will always stand strong for this critical industry.”
